Formed in Birmingham, England in January 2004, Dave asked his best mate of 24 years, Chris, to join him and start a new band together. The natural choice to fill the drum slot was Matt, a close friend from previous bands, all that was missing then was a singer.
After various adverts, one man showed eagerness, an audtion was set up and after only 15 minutes of him being in the room, the guys decided he was the right man for the job, and thus the final piece of the jigsaw was complete and Ricky became the fourth member to join DRUGMULE.
After only a few months of practice developing their blend of hard rock with an indie vibe, DRUGMULE decided it was time to unleash their sound onto the public, and after a triumphant debut gig, a support slot with RED:LINE:RATIO at TC's in Selly Oak, Birmingham in April 2004, DRUGMULE are growing with confidence as the gigs begin to come in.
Musical influences are wide and diverse ranging from the likes of the 90's indie pop scene such as Shed Seven all the way through to classic rock legends like Iron Maiden and Metallica.
The influences are clear in some songs which results in an eclectic mix of melodic riffs driven with a hard rock edge.
To date, DRUGMULE have performed many gigs on the Birmingham scene and hope to branch out further a field as they begin to make a name for themselves.
In 2006 the band were nominated for the BT Digital Music Award for Best Unsigned Act 2006.
Remember the name.. remember the music..
