Hi, thanks for visiting.
I'm just a singer-songwriter that struggles to sing and write songs, I'd prefer to think of them as songs I've written rather than songs I'd like to perform, I think someone else could do a much better job on that front, but I've just recorded a couple of tracks that I enjoyed creating and thought I'd give this internet lark a shot. Sorry for the really shoddy quality, but my recording equipment is pretty limited.
Some of them are quite old tracks that I've rediscovered in the depths of my computer, recorded even more shoddily. Apparently, at one point, I had an American accent, although I don't recall it.
Give them a listen.
Influences
Bob Dylan, Bright Eyes, The Shins, Badly Drawn Boy, Stoney, Arcade Fire, Belle and Sebastian, Death Cab, Guillemots, The Beatles, Radiohead, Stars, The Thrills, Travis, Damien Rice... These are all that I suppose have directly influenced me, but the list goes on.
Living Atheist Review:
Artist: Cooper Location: United Kingdom Song Title: It's Pride MySpace: www.myspace.com/coopersounds Genre: Troubadour
What I thought: Ohh, this is a rather jolly sounding song. It has obviously been recorded on a very modest budget, which is cool because it's still rather enjoyable to listen to. The vocals and guitar parts are nothing glamorous but they do work very well together. I would like to hear this after it has been recorded properly, I think it has the potential to be something very good indeed.
Reminds me of: Greenday, Billy Bragg Score: 7/10 In a sentence: Nice, fun and definitely no frills.
