We are embersfire, we formed in late 2005 as the hours, but it wasn't until 2006 that things really started to get moving for us. The hours first gig was at esquires in bedford from which we received a very positive review.
Three of us have been playing together for a few years and Tim (a mate from school) joined to make up the band. In 2007 Harry joined the band as the new lead guitarist. We have a wide arrange of influences, which is reflected in our songs. We have both a lighter softer side as well as a heavier rockier sound. In parts we are a light as Snow Patrol and as heavy as Paradise Lost.
The 3 songs uploaded show the variety in our sound, but they're not necessarily our best material! We have had a great start to 2007, having written 3 new great songs and played some really good gigs. 'Come Undone' is one of these songs.
Our demo was featured on Kerrang Radio's 'Unsigned Show' in April and we're pleased to announce that the Kerrang listeners voted our demo, 'Crushed By the Weight' as the Winner of the first 'Demo Clinic' competition and so therefore winning recording time. Our new and improved recording of 'Crushed By The Weight' will be played on the 'Unsigned Show' in the next few weeks.
Jukebox is the latest additon to Embers Fire, joining as our replacement lead guitarist. He has given the band a fresh lease of life and rejuvinated a numbe of our older songs. He gives us a new dimension which is clearly demonstrated on our newest song, 'Dont Walk Away'. We will be practicing heavily over the next few months and will be back in the Studio in January to record a new 3 track demo so watch this space.
We have recently had our demo reviewed by MusicNews.com, the result of which can be found at the link below...or if you got o google and type 'Embers Fire' its the 3rd hit down!
