Smooth Roscoe & the Goo are the biggest and baddest rock and roll band to come out of North Wales since never. You will not see another band like them. forget Hendrix at Woodstock Forget Cream at the Albert hall, even Led Zep at the O2. All you need is the goo. The Goo cater for all your musical needs writing original songs with a wide range of musical styles and sound exactly what music is supposed to sound like. REAL. The band have been together for about three years and started out playing cover versions of classic rock, blues and pop songs of yesteryear, and still do on occasion around the pubs and clubs of North-East Wales. Over the last three years the three members of the Goo have become a very special bunch of players, the drummer Dewi Thomas is all you need in a drummer, steady, hard hitting,(when he wants to be) versatile, innovative, well timed, good sense of humor, and of course, fussy. His brother Gaz Thomas is the bassist. This guy is good he can play anything, how he does it on just four strings i don't know. Also being the drummers brother it doesn't take him long to get in tune and time with Dewi's bass drum. Thus to create a tight,steady, groovy foundation for the Goo's ever changing canvas. The guitarist and singer of the band is Dave Edwards this is where the blues element of the group comes in to play,with his wailing solos and rasping vocals he's guarantied to raise your neck hairs. He is also the main songwriter for the Goo, and I have to say he does a very good job of it. ''Dave is the heart and soul of the band but thankfully not the lung and the legs''.(Dewi Thomas). So if you are in the market for some good music or an awe inspiring gig in your area.I would strongly recommend that you dive in to the gooey, gooyness that is Smooth Roscoe & the Goo.
