Once you have built a nice little local following and online presence then say hello to a few managers. To be honest when you get good enough they are gonna seek you out. The rule of thumb here is don't chase them if they like you they will call you into there office or come to a show. REMEMBER Your in a cool band, you don't chase mother fuckers, they chase you. Remember you're the star not the manager or agent they are working for you and they get hundreds of bands banging on their door. Do your job, get on with writing better and better songs.
Like I said the likely hood is your gonna hit a lot of brick walls and meet a lot of people who don't sit to well with you (unless your really bloody lucky), don't be discouraged. If a potential manager charms you into sending a demo and you send it and hear nothing back. Do you A. Write and say did you receive or B. Get on with writing your wicked songs and perfecting your live set. The answer is of course B. If they didn't get it and they like you enough they would have sent an email to ask for a resend, if they got it and didn't get back to you they either moved onto something else or just plain didn't think it was good enough. "But what about feed back"? I here you ask. Well, my answer and that is. You don't need feedback from managers or AnR who didn't like you. All will be explained in Roxy Lesson 7.
