I only know one way. Write a wish list of producers you would love to work with (choose ones that have made records you admire with bands not dissimilar to your own) then compare it to your labels choices and then let them to come to a rehearsal and see how you get on. Remember, you have to like these people, you are gonna have to spend alot of time with them. Watch out for producers that are at the end of their greatness and use there past successes to lure bands just so they have a paycheck. Instinct is all you have on this matter.
